Angels and Armies

My little boy was quietly playing in the living room, and when I went in later, I noticed that he had arranged his army men around our nativity. I looked closer. They were facing out, as if they were protecting the baby lying in a manger.

I've been thinking about it ever since and the symbolism I see in it. Am I one of those willing to stand up for that special baby? To protect my faith in Him and strengthen my knowledge of His mission on earth? I hope so.

"And a little child shall lead them . . ."
