Movie Review: Lucy Shimmers & the Prince of Peace

This new Christmas movie, Lucy Shimmers and the Prince of Peace, is one that will tug at all your emotions. Lucy Shimmers is five-years-old and had a dream about a sad man who Jesus wanted to help. When she suddenly falls ill, she meets that man in the hospital and the movie becomes her journey in how she helps Jesus help him.

I thought the little girl who played Lucy was the star of the show and stole all the scenes she was in. She was articulate and sweet and really made her character believable. The story is original, but it is tragic. Of course there is hope and inspiration among the tragedy, but for me, it's just too sad. If you watch the first fifteen minutes of the show you can guess what's going to happen at the end, so there is time to brace yourself and break out the Kleenex. However, there are still plenty of sweet and tender moments to enjoy in this Christmas movie with a message that will touch your heart.
