Some Sad News

My aunt passed away last night. I've been reflecting on her life and what she meant to me. Though I'm sad she's gone and will miss her, I'm grateful to have known her and to have great memories of our time together that will live on. Some of my very favorite memories of her are her laugh, how much she loved her family, and how incredible she was at the game Words With Friends. I loved playing her and rarely ever beat her! It will be so strange not to play anymore.

Anyway, I'm sad today, so if you care to share any cute cat pictures or memories/family stories of your aunts and/or extended family that bring a smile to your face, I would love that!

A Little Laugh To Get Me To Work

Since I'm working on my "nerd" story again today, this made me laugh because it's SO TRUE! Haha (Thanks to everyone for your help yesterday on my visual inspiration!)

Opinions Needed!

So, I've been working on the next book in my Griffin Force series and I'm trying to find inspiration for my lovable computer geek, Augie. It's been harder than I thought to find that visual inspiration!

Book Review: Charming the Shortstop

I've been reading the Belltown Six Pack novels and Charming the Shortstop is my favorite so far. I really love Axel and, though he is a pro baseball player, is also dealing with some family situations that give him an extra dimension. When he meets Brighton, who is still getting over her ex-fiance, the sparks fly. But can they find a way to trust their feelings for each other?

This book had so much swoon to it, I could hardly put it down. I liked the realistic obstacles Brighton and Axel were facing and the story also had some great secondary characters like Gabe and Silvia. There are appearances by other Belltown Six Pack members that provide a nice continuity. Ms. Moore's writing style is balanced and draws the reader in. The setting was well done and even those readers who don't really like baseball will love this story. But the best part was definitely the chemistry between the characters. It was off the charts. So good! I can't wait to start the next one.
