I'm an award-winning romantic suspense novelist, but in my free time I love to review books and my fave TV shows, as well as pass along great book deals, and eat Canadian chocolate---not necessarily in that order.
All right, friends, (at least I hope there's some friends here tonight) we are sprinting! I"m mostly here for motivation, so I know my word count won't be great, but I'm in the chair and ready to go.
213 words at 8:15 (manuscript total : 25004) I feel proud of those 213, considering I had a boy hanging on my arm crying 'want to pick you up' for several minutes of that.
I'm sorry, I haven't been able to write anymore words since my son in Utah called to tell me about his joining a bridge-building competition team at his university. Turns out, he's the captain. Then we chatted for a while. I don't get to talk with him very much and I didn't want to get off the phone quickly. Hopefully next week I'll get a bigger chunk written!
Jon, anything synthetic smokes terribly. So the seats and cushions would melt nicely, and give off a nasty, toxic smoke, black in color.

Let's go!
598 for the first fifteen minutes. This scene is shaping up nicely! How did you do, Debra?

Maybe proud isn't the right word.
I got 361 words of dialogue in 15 minutes.
I'm not too different from you two! Yay!!!
Hi, Jon!
Jon, I'm proud of you! Those were hard fought words!
Debra, you are always right in the thick of things.
I've got 330 for the second fifteen. Woohoo!
286 words at 8:30.
Anyone have any experience at making a nice smoky fire out of a downed helicopter? (Can't wait to google that one)
Out for a bit to put babies to bed, try to be back for last sprint)
Sadly, I have no downed helicopter experience.
I got 494 words though and I think I really made that scene better. Whew. One more quarter.

Debra, that's way more important than sprinting! I'm so happy for your son. That sounds fun (and hard. For me, anyway) haha!
I finished with another 383. I'm so happy right now with how this is shaping up. Thanks, you guys! You're awesome as usual. :)
;D
258 at 9:00. Whew. Total for the night: 763.
Thanks for the inspiration, Julie!
We are awesome! *pumps fist*
Hope the sprint went well :)
