Okay, peeps, (do I sound cool when I say that? LOL) we're going to write/edit for fifteen minutes, then check in, and quickly jot down our progress, then go for the next fifteen minutes, until the hour's up.
I'll see you back here! At least I hope I will. I hope I won't be all alone. I'll also be over on Twitter @juliebellon
Four minutes! Ready, set, go!

Okay, first fifteen minutes are up and I've stripped some stuff out of the first four chapters and I'm ready to move on to the next one. Which will be harder, but I'm up for it!
Sadly, I'm sprinting alone. I hope someone else comes to join me! I feel so lonely!
I'll join you for 15 minutes or so! Go Julie Go!
*Jon tosses over a bottle of Gatorade*
I'm here for the third quarter, ready to edit!
I'm halfway through revising the next chapter. Woohoo! It feels good.
And I'm so glad you're here Jon and Melanie! I was feeling so sad by myself. :)
Sprinting with friends is like a mini-writing party!
Running out of breath. Whew.
Are italics a fairly common way to represent thoughts in a character's head? Is it better than double quotes and a "he thought" tag? Jon wondered if he could make it one more lap.
"Nah," he thought, "better go get dinner instead."
(Just hit a total of 7,000 words on the whole thing. Woohoo!)
I'm here, just distraced by getting the kids in bed. I am working on drafting chapter Eleven. This is the Plot Point one and I'm so excited to write this chapter. This is the first time I have written a subtle plot point the others have been high action in your face stuff. It's going to be fun.
Reporting in after fifteen minutes of editing -- have been working on a particularly stubborn paragraph for most of this time, writing, erasing, drumming fingers, writing, and erasing again. But it's nice to have a little get-together like this every so often, to bemoan our woes and rejoice in our progress, no matter how large or small. :-)
Jon, italics are definitely for thoughts. :)
Michelle, that's awesome! Subtle stuff takes brain power though. :)
I'm three quarters of the way through the chapter I wanted to revise. Woohoo! Feeling good.
Wow, I got so much more done than I thought I would! I completely revised one chapter and smoothed over four more. I'm so happy!
We definitely have to sprint again. How did you do?
I wrangled my difficult paragraph into submission and got some more editing done besides that. Not bad for half an hour's work!
This was fun, and I'm definitely up for doing it again sometime. :-)
Thanks Melanie! I'm glad you got to play for a little while.
I'm still writing but it's looking good. I'm happy with it as a rough draft. Hopefully will finish Ch 11 tonight and dream of chapters 12-24. :)
Yeah, I think I'm on a roll I might go for a bit myself. I'm like you, I dream about my stuff, too!
