All right! I'm off! *writes furiously*

217 words. Bleh.

400 here.

Julie Coulter Bellon said...

544 for me. We're not doing bad! Every word is one more we didn't have before, right?

On to the next quarter! :)

Debra Erfert said...

Bah! Only 110 words this quarter. My husband called from the road and I had to stop writing. What could I do?

KaseyQ said...

Up to 793 now

Julie Coulter Bellon said...

Debra, I had to take a call, too, so I only got 368 this quarter. Who doesn't know never to call me Wednesdays at 8? Haha. Okay, I'm totally going to blow away the next quarter.

Julie Coulter Bellon said...

Kasey that's awesome!

Jon Spell said...

And... 185 words at 8:30! (Granted, I had a 2 year old climbing all over me for most of that time.)

Probably going to be absent for the next sprint, trying to join for the last leg at 8:45.

Debra Erfert said...

Haha! Sorry, Julie... This quarter I got all of 226 words. I lost what little momentum I had. But still hanging in there.

Hi Jon!

Hi Kasey!

KaseyQ said...

1217 total so far!

Julie Coulter Bellon said...

Hey, Jon!

Debra, that's okay, you can get it back!

Kasey that is AWESOME!

I got 756 that last quarter. WOOHOO! I'm going to finish strong, I can feel it.

I'm here! But I'm editing, so I'll have to go by pages. Starting on page 181.

Debra Erfert said...

Yah, Julie. You rock.

I wrote 172 more words. My husband just got home. He dodged dust storms and thunder storms. Whew. Glad he made it without being blow off the road. Ten more minutes to write...

KaseyQ said...

Finished with a total of 1609. Woohoo! I love my story. *contented sigh*

Julie Coulter Bellon said...

Yay, Jordan!

Debra, I'm glad he's home safe, too.

I didn't get as much as I wanted, but I'll take 432. It was a jumpstart that I needed for sure! Thanks so much you guys.

Kasey that is SO awesome!

308 this last part. I'm too tire to do the adding, but this has been fun. I'm glad that I was able to join y'all for this sprint. Thanks! Now to go and watch the lightening show. They're very rare in the desert southwest.

Julie Coulter Bellon said...

Thank YOU Debra. I love our sprints. They make me feel so productive. :)

Jon Spell said...

Whee, I guess I finished strong (?) at 234 words. 645 total for the night. I guess that's not bad.

My MC's mood seems to be reflecting my own. She's losing her inner resolve and feels hopeless. I'm sort of feeling the same way. "Where's MY air strike?" I scream at the sky.

I bet my hair stylist has seen her share of lightening shows, like when her fellow students were all doing blonde color changes on dark-haired volunteers.

Don't you know the secret yet, Jon? When we feel depressed, our characters reflect that emotion. When our head aches, our characters suddenly suffer from a headache. Someone once said that a writer puts his life into his writing. That person was a true writer, but I'm sure the readers only thought he was waxing philosophical and not stating a fact. lol.

Jordan McCollum said...

John, be nice ;) . You all typed your brains out ;) .

I edited eight pages. Woot. Now I'm only 122 pages behind where I hoped to be tonight!

*weeps*dies*

Debra Erfert said...

Ha! Ha! Lightening shows. Sorry. Lightning. Better? Sheesh. You're so picky.

Julie Coulter Bellon said...

Haha, Jon. It's funny how my moods mirror my character's too! 645 words is INCREDIBLE! We do awesome at these sprints, do you know that?

Julie Coulter Bellon said...

Jordan, I'm just going to focus on all the progress. We're not behind, we're going to jump in where we are! To quote the Flylady. Love her. We can do this! We are empowered. We made progress. :)

KaseyQ said...

Ha ha! I love FlyLady too! You can do anything for 15 minutes- or 1 hour!

Thanks everyone. I’m going to a writing conference in October and I am feeling very overwhelmed by how much of a rookie I still am. I’ve had articles and short stories published, but I would at least like to have finished a book before I go so I don’t feel totally out of my league. ;-) (and that way I can take advantage of meeting potential agents!)

Jordan McCollum said...

Julie--8 pages is a ton for about 20 minutes, so I'm not too upset. (And I've fallen behind over the course of three days, so I probably wasn't going to make it up in 20 minutes, LOL.)

Man, I wish I could FLY. I always lose interest in even 15 minutes of cleaning or decluttering. It withers my spirit. Waaaah.

Julie Coulter Bellon said...

Kasey, that's awesome! What conference is it? You've made a lot of progress on your manuscript from the sounds of things.

Jordan, just diving back in helps motivate me. And maybe you should trim your time down to five minutes. You can do anything for five minutes. :)

I'm always too late for the party. I'll just pretend there is a time warp and I'm working hard with you, instead of hours later. :)

Julie Coulter Bellon said...

Janice you are always missed at a party. Next time for sure, right? :)
