Three Wonderful Things

Today I'm having a little celebration for myself and I think I'm going to break out my good chocolate.  Three wonderful things have happened to me and I'm excited to share.  So come to the party!

First of all, I was notified yesterday that my book All Fall Down won the reader preference round for suspense/thriller, which means it's now a finalist for the RONE awards.  The winners will be announced in Las Vegas in August.  Yay!

The second thing was that I got a five star review for my new book Ashes Ashes!  Mel's Shelves said, "if you enjoy a fast-paced, clean romantic suspense novel you must read this book!"  To read the whole review of what she thought of my characters and dialogue click here

And the third thing is that I also got a review from A Book A Day who said, "I loved the level of action and suspense, waiting for a man with a gun to jump out at any moment. You won't regret reading this book!"  You can read the whole review here

*throws confetti*  So there you have it, my three reasons to celebrate.

Anything good happening in your life lately?

What qualifies as the good chocolate? (That you've conditioned your children to think is something that helps improve your regularity, right?) Is it Caramilk or Glosette? (I was trying to research uniquely Canadian chocolates once, came up with those.)

Something good. Hmm.
I, uh, got a brand new disc (disc golf) yesterday that I'm looking forward to trying out today. Fly, my pretty!

Oh, and congratulations on your own happy events. I'm sure the other authors just don't have your loyal and discerning fan base.

Jon, I laughed out loud at Fly my pretty. HAH! And the good chocolate is anything Canadian my friend. Melts in my happy mouth.

As for my fan base, I have the best one around, seriously. I am so appreciative of everyone who supports my writing. :) So, thank you!

Congratulations on your finalists positions. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your win in August. I still have some Canadian chocolate. I just can't bring myself to open the package knowing I would eat the whole darn bar!!! The reviews were quite great!

Today? I got to hold my gorgeous granddaughter for the first time. Mom is still in the hospital. Hopefully they will be released tomorrow.

Congrats, Julie. I think the chocolate is well-earned!
