Word Count Wednesday

I've been working like a crazy person with every spare moment I have during the day and I am happy to tell you that I have finished editing the first 120 pages of my manuscript.  Woohoo!  All the critiques, the beta comments, editorial suggestions and my own readings have all culminated in a thoroughly edited first half of the book.

It feels good!  Only one more half to go.  We're on the downslide.  *pats self on back*

How did you do this week?

Thanks, Randy. Did you do any writing this week? Have you heard back from that contest yet?

No progress for me! But congratulations to you, Julie. Keep up the good work!

Well, you did do some hard things this week, Jon. Maybe we should count that. Doing hard things can make us feel successful, right? :)

I spent last week in Yellowstone and at a family reunion. This week I've been working on getting the kids ready for school. I think i wrote about 50 words. We are back full swing into our wacky year-round schedule so i should get some writing done this week.

I am reading my manuscript out loud, and it's taking me a long time because I'm changing a lot of things that don't sound right. I got through 254 pages this week.

I finished another short story that I will be sending off to Penumbra for consideration. However, thats only about 3500 words this week. (Curse my getting a new video game and distracting me from what's important.)

I have not heard back on the contest, but they did inidcate they would contact everyone who submitted so I'm still hopeful.

Thanks for asking.

Thanks, J.A!

Janice I feel happy/sad for you. I'm totally not ready for school to start up again. *sigh*

Rebecca, that's awesome. :)

Randy, my fingers are still crossed for you. :)
