This has been a busy and productive week! I have been researching and started writing the first chapter of the Captain's story and I'm pretty jazzed about it.
I love the research part of it, but I have to be careful not to get so immersed that I procrastinate the actual writing. It was so motivating, though, to see how I can fit the puzzle pieces of my story and research into the book.
I wrote 840 words, which might not seem like much, but it's the precursor to bigger and better things this week, I can feel it!
How did you do?

I know how many words you can do inside an hour while we sprint, so at any moment you could cut loose and kick out a whole chapter. So exciting!
Research can be fun, but I guess I like to write a story where I already know a heck of a lot about the subject matter. I guess that's why I set my historical romance aside--to much research. I'm enjoying my current WIP so much-- where police procedure and crime is around every corner. Well, I can't actually say I've spent a whole heck-of-a-lot of time writing this week since I came down with a nasty cold a week ago. Basically, the couch and I have become well acquainted. And I've been doing my best not to pass my germy-germs to my husband, who is preparing for cataract surgery. One tiny cough or sneeze will set him back for a month or more.
Nonetheless, even on my sickbed (couch) I was able to write an additional 2,252 words this week.
Even on your sickbed you still beat me on word count! You're amazing! I hope you feel better!
