Do You Have a Song? And Are You Entered to Win?

Okay, I have a question for all of you. When you hear a song on the radio, does it remind you of a book couple? Or a movie/TV couple? When I hear "I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore" by REO Speedwagon, I always think of Lee Stetson and Amanda King from Scarecrow and Mrs. King. It fits them so perfectly i think! Do you do that? Or is it just me?

I have playlists of songs I listen to when I write characters, but I don't think I've ever given any of my couples a "couple" song,. Maybe I should!

So, in order to get another entry in the grand prize drawing, tell me, do you think of book/TV/movie couples when you hear certain songs? And do you and your husband/wife/significant other have a "song" that is yours? I'd love to hear it!

We've never had a song. We tried to come up with one before we were married and couldn't. Outside of soundtracks our someone pointing it out to me, I'm no good at it for some reason.

I don't usually associate songs with book couples because I don't listen to music while I read. My husband and I don't really have a song besides the one we danced to at our wedding but we rarely listen to it.

My husband and I don’t have a special song. We don’t necessarily like the same kinds of music.

I waited for years to have the Blue Angels Navy Air Show somewhere close to me. When they final did make it close enough for a weekend get away that worked schedule I was so excited to go. They have a playlist of songs they have going as you watch them. During a fly by the song “Best Day of My Life” was playing. Now every time I hear it I think of how I felt watching them perform.

We do have a favorite song. Hallelujah sung by Leonard Cohen is memorable,
beautiful and emotional.

I am going to get personal here, I feel many people didn't expect my husband and me to make it after a few years. What they didn't know is that we both had our own confirmations our marriage was good in Heavenly Father's eyes. So when I heard "You're Still the One" by Shania Twain I felt that song was about us. Here we are 27 years later and still going strong.

I have never had a song come to mind for a book couple, but always think of Titanic when "My Heart Will Go On" or Beauty and the Beast when I hear "Tale as Old as Time."

Even though I am not into country anymore, I guess "I Cross My Heart" by George Strait would be our song.

No song for book couples, but a song my husband sang during our wedding was, “As for me and my House”. We will be celebrating 37 years in December. ❤️

I do think of songs that connect to book couples occasionally. Though ours was Somebody by Reba McEntire.

I don't associate songs with couples on TV or in movies or books. The only song my husband and I have is our wedding song "I'll Always Love You" by Taylor Dayne.

While some songs take me back to times in my life, there is no book couple to associate with. That type of thing goes by the wayside, when you read over 100 books a year. After I write my short review, it's on to my next. Of course, if it is a series, those feelings usually stick around for a while. And while some things come to mind more for some stories, it usually lasts only till the next good book I read. That's why I usually write my review and share it within a day of finishing a book.

Some songs remind me of movies but probably because that song was in the movie-haha! But no-I haven’t really ever thought a song fits with characters in a book. But that’s a great idea!

Our song is Come What May from Moulin Rouge.

Don’t have any songs that take me to book or movie couples that I can think of off the top of my head, but I’m sure there’s at least some from movies. Always have comments from others that bring a phrase from a random song into my head daily. And there’s always certain songs that remind me of memories or people.

I am not sure that I can connect a song with a book. When I think of the songs from Dirty Dancing, Titanic, or Sound of Music, I think of the songs that are played throughout the movies. My husband and I have a song. It is Lady in Red. When we were dating, we were walking along the boardwalk on the bay. A fisherman had the radio on. The song Lady in Red was playing. My husband took me into his arms and started dancing with me on the boardwalk. It was the first song we danced to at our reception.

I don’t have a song that reminds me of celebrities, and my husband and I don’t really have a song, but there is one song that reminds me of us before we were married. It’s Are You Strong Enough to be my Man by Cheryl Crow.

No and no. I love music but that's not really how I listen to it.

I have a song for everything. 🤣
Whenever I hear Sarah Bareilles’s song BREATHE AGAIN and Snow Patrol’s song YOU COULD BE HAPPY, I instantly think of the TV show Smallville and Clark, Lana and Lex.
My hubby and I have a couple different songs but one of them is Huey Lewis and the News’s song STUCK WITH YOU. There’s story behind it of course. 😉

No significant other yet but I think of the Faith Hill song just breathe a lot when the main character in a book is about to lett all of their feelings out there...not super book specific, and honestly the song is to remind me to breathe too (I can get pretty into books:-)

Hm, I' not sure about the first question! Sometimes I do, but just if it's a book that I really, really like or just finished reading yk? And no to the other question because I'm single lol - Lily

The usual anthems remind me of the movie couples (Time of My Life, Dirty Dancing; Unchained melody, Ghost). My husband and I don't have an "our" song, neither of us is that romantic irl...lol.

I don't associate songs with characters in books, but there are songs that play in movies that remind me of that movie and the scene it is from. My husband and I do have a song, Rascal Flatts' "Bless The Broken Road."

I don't think I've ever thought about it! But, I probably will now. Ha, ha! As for our own song, it is "Grow Old with Me" by Peter Breinholt.

When I hear a song sometimes I can decipher what movie it was in and sometimes what scene. Our song initially was Eagles love will keep us alive then moved to our wedding song which was great white if I ever saw a good thing.
