Word Count Wednesday--Do You Write During the Holidays?

Well, I felt really stupid writing that title of Word Count Wednesday because we all know I'm on a writing hiatus and my word count is zero. However, I did have a plot twist for the Captain's story come to me and the first chapter specifics. I probably should write that down. Soon. Before I forget it.  I quite liked how it looked in my head.

Do you write during the holiday season? How is your word count coming along?

Typically, no, but it looks like I'm going to have a fair amount of time on my hands, so I think I might try to finish off my first manuscript then start a full scale editing process on it.

Maybe I'll buy a box of red pens and see if my wife will do it. ;)

I'm between projects right now, but I plan to write until my kids get out for Christmas. I finished nano and just submitted a second manuscript to my publisher. (so fun to say - My publisher) I'm not sure when the edits for Rebel Princess will arrive so I'm still deciding what to do until then. Maybe I'll update my blog. :) I don't want to tackle my nano manuscript until I'm sure I have some time to work on it.

I'm doing a rewrite on one of those manuscripts I got the rights returned to me from Walnut Springs Press. I'm taking the LDS references out of it to make it mainstream. It's coming along faster than I thought it would. Almost done, actually. Don't have a word count. Haven't kept track.

Janice, I don't think saying "my publisher" ever gets to be normal. I always got a charge out of it. But I truly hope your experience is better than mine was. :)

Debra - I didn't know you were having publisher problems. I was really looking forward to seeing your book. I'm sure you'll find the perfect home for your manuscript.

Jon, that would be awesome! You should totally finish it.

Janice, I am SO happy for you! Let me know if you update your blog.

Debra, you are so good at getting things done. I want to be like you when I grow up. :)
