Word Count Wednesday

Well, today is the last day of November and the last day of JuCanWriMo. As you may recall, my goal was to write 18,000 words this month.

As I added up my totals this morning and added on what I got this week, (which was 4004 words) I am so excited to tell you that---

*drum roll*

my final word count in JuCanWriMo was 18,890 words!!

Woohoo! I made my goal. Just barely, but I still made it. It was probably one of the most productive Novembers I've ever had and I'm so glad you were a part of that for me. Thank you so much for all your encouragement.

How did you do this week?

Hey, congratulations on meeting your goal and then some!

I had a bit of a hectic week, but I still managed to get in about 550 words.

Congratulations. I love making and meeting goals!

I just checked on my word count for this week, and it totally surprised me. I wrote 13,482 as of ten minutes ago. And I'm in the middle of a great scene. I don't know how many words that makes for the month of November, but I'm psyched about getting through more than halfway on my WIP.

Eggnog all around! (Non-alcoholic, of course!)

I finished going through my rough draft! The ending is still really weak but I'm excited about how far it's come. Tomorrow I'll start a more detailed edit and go chapter by chapter.

Thanks, Melanie and congrats on getting something done even though it was a hectic week.

Debra, I LOVE eggnog. I'm all in for that. :)

Janice, congratulations! I'm so happy for you. It's such a great feeling. :)

You all did so well. Congratulations!

Okay, here I am to report--finally. My goal was to do 20 pages, and I did about 13. I don't feel too bad about it because during that time I also had to correct two sets of proofs and do three months worth of marketing prep. If I hadn't set my goal, I probably would have done much less. So I'm happy I got a little done on my WIP. And even happier to be done checking proofs!
