That was an ...I actually wrote 900 words yesterday. That was an accomplishment, this book is being so hard to write. Where I usually draft about 3000 words on a day I can sit and write for an hour or so. I'm writing less than 1000 in four hours or more. It is YA and not my normal genre, but the story is there, I know where I'm going, and what's happening. I am wondering if I am just cutting my YA teeth on this one or it's too planned out and I'm feeling restricted by the MC's journey. Regardless, his voice is not clear and it's making this dificult.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13070478779467059218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4421706587311875668.post-72702165539540686662012-05-17T00:48:53.778-06:002012-05-17T00:48:53.778-06:00Oh, who's the boktease now?

I tried to do less. I can't. I'm an obsessive overachiever, and I heart this story. (Probably too much. But my thoughts never stray further than the next scene I need to write. I've worked diligently on my new story every day this last week except yesterday, adding new stuff, then going back and tweaking the old stuff as needed. I just can't sit down and write without editing -- I have to go back and change things, or I can't progress. It doesn't make me a good candidate for NaNoWriMo, I know, but it works for me. :-)

I'm getting close to the end of the first draft, and am even starting to have stray thoughts about what I want to do next, which is a good sign for me.Melanie Goldmundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00270135660110676225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4421706587311875668.post-19186500057113482692012-05-16T09:50:10.524-06:002012-05-16T09:50:10.524-06:00I guess I'll actually report since I did signi...I guess I'll actually report since I did significant writing as well.
