Last week I managed to get 4,000 words for the re-writes of my first novel, but only about 2,000 this week. I'm hoping to pick up the pace next week.

I'm also doing the campaign for the first time and really enjoying meeting so many wonderful writers. Thanks for posting on my blog and I look forward to seeing more of you during the campaign. I certainly hope you get over that insomnia real soon!Debbiehttp://debbie-johansson.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4421706587311875668.post-62726079247650199382011-09-01T06:41:12.706-06:002011-09-01T06:41:12.706-06:00Aw, sorry to hear about the insomnia - I have to p...Aw, sorry to hear about the insomnia - I have to put up with it, too, and it SUCKS! It's great that you turned a lemon into lemonade, though, and used it to get some writing done.

Also? You are SO right - being a writer can be very scary, but you just have to hang on in.Crystalhttp://littlebundleofcontradictions.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4421706587311875668.post-2599359902829614182011-08-31T22:03:34.679-06:002011-08-31T22:03:34.679-06:00Stephanie, that's great! I haven't tried yoga yet, but now that you mention it, I will definitely try that. I get that sometimes myself, sometimes yoga right before bed helps.

I've been polishing up two synopses so I haven't got to add any wordcount this week, but hope to this weekendTina DC Hayeshttp://tinadchayes.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4421706587311875668.post-34760481930166945622011-08-31T18:09:28.047-06:002011-08-31T18:09:28.047-06:00After a crazy summer, I'm finally back to work...After a crazy summer, I'm finally back to working on my WIP. I've written about 2000 words this week and am back to bribing myself with See's chocolates (as suggested by Melanie Jacobson).Stephanie Blackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08848784501386694887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4421706587311875668.post-48466162622134843032011-08-31T13:42:58.513-06:002011-08-31T13:42:58.513-06:00Sarah, that's a good plan. :)

That's the worst. I like your bike analogy. I do feel that way sometimes. My word count (or page count rather) hasn't been so great the past few weeks. But I'm still trying. Still plugging along. I'm hoping to write 13 this week, though so far I only have three. I feel less stuck than I did, though.Angiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01445455787485222068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4421706587311875668.post-73546197462086943512011-08-31T12:56:27.534-06:002011-08-31T12:56:27.534-06:00After a day trip to SLC to the Church History Libr...After a day trip to SLC to the Church History Library for needed research I moved from 22,200 words to 23,200+ words in one of my WIP's.
So just over 1000 words. Or at least tried.

I finally decided that I would force myself to stop obsessing about the 5000 word limit and simply write. This is hard because I am a natural-born, nail-chompin' worrier, but I managed to get in three writing sessions this week and, if I recorded it correctly, about 1300 words. I think that's worth a chocolate or two, don't you?

*hands around Lindt Lindor pralines*Melanie Goldmundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00270135660110676225noreply@blogger.com
