Sadie is one of my favorite characters! I usually like to read about younger characters but I think Sadie has more energy than a 20 year old!Lexie@BookBughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12771819544675001252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4421706587311875668.post-43066135255571951982012-03-21T12:08:34.788-06:002012-03-21T12:08:34.788-06:00We watched H50 last night. You might have figured ...We watched H50 last night. You might have figured this out from the weird scene splicing, but Ed Asner appeared on the original Hawaii 5-0 back in 1975. He's actually playing the same character - he was a smuggler named August March who tried to frame the old McGarrett. I think that was actual footage from the original show. How awesome is that?
(The ending was shocking.)

I think the cakes were my favorite part, though. =)Jon Spellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13283068961865370674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4421706587311875668.post-17486849865207365282012-03-21T10:31:56.541-06:002012-03-21T10:31:56.541-06:00Michael, I've heard good and bad things about ...Michael, I've heard good and bad things about House. Glad to find someone who definitely likes it!

Debra, it's definitely character development. You can't miss this one if you've read the others!

Jon, when Rumbi grill first opened I went and ended up with a horrific case of food poisoning and I haven't been back. I'll have to try the others you mention though. They sound good!

I also liked the spoof of DWTS on Castle. Too funny. I agree about the wedding ring curse thing. A little weird and I could have done without the strip club scene, but oh well. Castle's excitement over the evil twin theory was funny and I really did like the mystery. Did you watch H50? Ed Asner made an appearance.Julie Coulter Bellonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07695605817809301518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4421706587311875668.post-73184830914789468042012-03-20T17:07:47.584-06:002012-03-20T17:07:47.584-06:00I loved that the lead-in to Castle was "Danci...I loved that the lead-in to Castle was "Dancing with the Stars" I was pretty sure it was the brother early on, but I certainly didn't see it untwist like that. Very good story, but I didn't like the sub-text on Ryan's wedding-ring-curse. Didn't really make any sense. Next week? It's about friggin time! =)

Regarding Hawaii, at least you can get some decent Hawaiian food around here. I have a co-worker from there and she says that L&L is very authentic. (There's one in Provo right off University on 1230 N) My wife and I also like Rumbi Grill. Fond memories of the old Bamboo Hut near campus. I've been to the new one, but it doesn't taste like I remember it. Maybe nothing does. Froot Loops don't.

Um, don't have much to say about writing though. I liked the first Sadie book, but I haven't tried the rest. I hear good things about them, certainly. =) And I really admire the author.Jon Spellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13283068961865370674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4421706587311875668.post-24921247571607854292012-03-20T14:37:37.040-06:002012-03-20T14:37:37.040-06:00Oh, please don't tell me Sadie went to Hawaii ...Oh, please don't tell me Sadie went to Hawaii alone? Where is her handsome cop boyfriend? Did I miss a book where they broke up or something? Gasp! Poor Sadie. This sounds good, but I don't like weak women, so unless you can tell me she stiffens up by the end . . . I don't know if it's genius or a mental breakdown.

Missed Castle last night.
