(Except for a plot point of course.)

And since I've never seen Taken I am intrigued by your remarks. Maybe I should see it, but I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to high tension. Also, is there a lot of violence?

I remember the moment with the senator, I think he was saying that instead of saving the guy, like Kate did, he would have "stood back and watched." Sort of out of character at the time, I thought, but maybe you're right, it was foreshadowing.

Didn't Alexis try calling 911 when she first got the phone but it didn't go through so then she tried the Skype?

I loved that loft and the description of his hand-molded Sig. Serious drool and something my next hero/villain MUST have. :)

Julie Coulter Bellonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07695605817809301518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4421706587311875668.post-29736291010274462012013-02-19T14:34:41.769-07:002013-02-19T14:34:41.769-07:00Bram Stoker: note that he was willing to cash in o...Bram Stoker: note that he was willing to cash in on the name if it got him girls. ;)

Castle and the Driver: The episode where the Senator was being tracked by a "sniper" and someone asks Castle if he would let the sniper get away, he says something like, "Yes, if it would protect those I love." I think that moment was foreshadowing this one. It was really against Kate's code to let him in there by himself, but maybe she knew it was the only way.

I can recommend Taken as a fun action flick. Liam Neeson does a great job. I had that moment when Castle's on the phone with her where I thought... "you are going to be taken. try to leave the cell phone open..." (Who chooses to Skype first over a phone call?!?)

In Taken, the girls are taken hostage while already in Europe, not bustled across the ocean. I hope the motive isn't the same, because Castle is going to FREAK out. (And never let Alexis have a vlog again!)

Julie: Hassim's loft: drool. No way I would need any of that, but how cool would it be? (But why didn't he get out of the way of the van? And why shoot at the van if he thought the girls might be in it?!?) Holy crap, Julie! Yes, I did see the first Taken, and it was riveting, but Liam Neeson is kick-butt awesome, and gets his daughter back the only proper way a man should--killing the bad guys along the way. I hate to say this, but I have no doubt that if I had the physical strength in my body to do it, and needed to find and extract my child from the situation his daughter was in--yeah, I'd do it! I had no nightmares afterward, but I wouldn't let a young child view it. You'd be perfectly fine.Debra Erferthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08239033133090036826noreply@blogger.com
